We have a new way of setting up Star printers with AirPOS. Previously you will have been asked to change dip switches located beneath a base plate on the bottom of the printer which would put the printer into what is known as ESC/POS Mode.
You'll be brought to your backoffice dashboard which looks like the screen shot below where you'll see a button 'Download AirPOS App'.
Leading from the back of the cash drawer is a cable the end of which looks a bit like a telephone connection or small Ethernet connection. This is known as an RJ11 cable.
