How to Use a Barcode Scanner to Add Items Through the Backoffice

Is there any way of using a barcode scanner to add items?

In AirPOS deliveries are input via the backoffice so that items can be added from any location via a web interface. There is currently no option for adding inventory at the point of sale. Entering barcodes can be a pain. Thankfully any barcode scanner attached to your AirPOS system can be used to directly scan barcodes when adding items to the AirPOS backoffice.

To do this simply tap the screen (or click your mouse if you are on a desktop computer) within the barcode cell and scan the barcode with your barcode scanner as normal. The scanner will interpret the lines and bars of the barcode and enter the number represented by the barcode like a typewriter with a return.
